Just 6 Months Before

July 14, 2010. It was exactly 6 months before our wedding. What a day it has been! It started with strong winds, rainfall and a blackout because of Typhoon Basyang. My mom, my sister and my 3 nieces slept over at my house because we were scheduled to go to Divisoria that day due to my mom's insistence that we go to divisoria before she go back home to Davao. In the morning, I was already hesitant to go to divi because the typhoon just passed, and it might be muddy or slippery there, but my mom insisted that we push through with the plan since she will be leaving early morning the next day. After a long day in Divi, we went home to my house still with no electricity because of the typhoon the night before. Since there was still no electricity, my mom requested me and Jeric to drop her early at the airport, around 11:00 in the evening, although her flight was still at 6:00 in the morning. It was a very tiring day that ended with me sleeping-over at Jeric's house because they have electricity while my house still have none. As I went to sleep that night, I can't help but think that exactly 6 months from then, our efforts and hard work will be all worthy.

Now, as I look back on all the things that we have accomplished in our preparations, and as I realize how far we've come in the last 6 or more months, I regain strength to go on for the remaining time of our preps. At this point, I can only wish and hope that the remaining 6 months will come as a breeze. We will make it through... hopefully, with God's mercy and guidance.
